Initial Report Requirement for LLCs in Alaska

All LLCs in Alaska must submit an Initial Report within six months of their approval. This report ensures that the state has the current contact information for your LLC. There is no fee for filing, and it can be done online. Filing the Initial Report is only possible once your LLC has been approved. Before starting, you’ll need your LLC’s Entity Number. To locate your Entity Number, search for your LLC on the Alaska Division of Corporations: Search Corporations Database.

Guidelines for Filing Your Alaska LLC Initial Report

Visit the Alaska Division of Corporations: Initial Report Online Filing page.

Enter your LLC’s Entity Number or search for it by name. In the search results, click the “File Online” button.

Entity Addresses

Confirm your mailing and physical addresses, and make any necessary changes.

Note: Changes to your Registered Agent cannot be made in the Initial Report. To update your Registered Agent, file a Statement of Change and pay the $25 fee.

Officials

List your LLC member(s) by clicking the “Add” button.

  • Enter the member’s name, address, and title, typically “Member”.
  • Enter the ownership percentage without using the % sign. For example, enter “50” for 50%, “100” for 100%, etc.
  • After entering, click “Save”.
  • If there are additional members, click “Add” again, or proceed if you have only one member.

Name of Person Completing the Application

Agree to the terms, provide your full name and phone number, then click “Proceed”.

Review Page

Click the “Review Filing” PDF link to check your information one last time. You can print or save this PDF for your records.

If changes are needed, click “Return to Filing”. To electronically file your Initial Report, click “Proceed”.

Congratulations, your Alaska LLC Initial Report is now filed.

To Verify

The system will take 30-60 seconds to process your Initial Report. To confirm filing, visit the Alaska Division of Corporation’s database: Alaska Division of Corporations: Search Corporations Database.

  • Search for your LLC name
  • click on its Entity number
  • scroll to the “Filed Documents” section
  • look for “Initial Report” in the list.

Once filed, you can begin drafting your Alaska LLC Operating Agreement.
